What led you to join the Mitchell team?
I always love a challenge – and starting a PMA division from scratch was just that – challenging! We’ve done a great job in the last 3+ years getting our name out there as a reliable PMA supplier. Also, Mitchell has that “small company” feel, family type environment. We have a great team of people, and the company is well liked in the industry.
Mitchell was able to offer me a good work-life balance in an industry I love.
What is it about your role that you really love?
People. I love getting to know people. Customers, co-workers, and competitors…at the end of the day we’re all in this together. It’s all about relationships. I’m thankful for the friendships I’ve made!
What’s one thing people may not know about you?
I grew up in Bamberg, Germany for part of my life and speak German fluently (I need to practice but it’s still there!). I try to go back once a year to visit family/friends.
What is the coolest place you’ve ever traveled for your job, and why?
I’ve traveled my whole life so it’s hard to narrow it down. Professionally, the most memorable trip was probably my very first trip in my aviation career. I was in my early 20’s, first job in aviation, and my boss sent me to the Paris Air Show in order to “get to know the industry”. It was overwhelming and fun and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Personally, the most amazing place I’ve been is Bali. Amazing culture and breathtaking scenery.
What makes you proud to be part of the Mitchell team?
When visiting customers and attending trade shows, and someone says to me, “Mitchell is a great company”, or “how is Mr. Sebion (founder) doing?”, or “we love working with you guys”, I know I’m in the right place. It feels good to know I work with a company that is well respected in the industry.
Also, the progress made with the PMA division is something to be proud of – and we’re still going strong!
